Rabbit Holes 03:40
What can I do to stop you falling down your rabbit hole, on this silver afternoon? I seem to arrive five minutes late every time, Every time I planned on meeting with your smile. But I'm looking for it, Looking on this silver afternoon. On this silver afternoon I've got a secret that I need to tell you, To tell you and only you. Well it grows and it flows and I know, Only you have the key to unlock all that it holds. On this silver afternoon. My shoe laces are tied together, As I stumble up a down escalator, Just trying to keep up with you. What can I do? What can I do? What can I do, On this silver afternoon? On this silver afternoon?
Skeletons 05:51

Rabbit Holes is the first in a series of new releases which reflect the emotional and physical journey the band have experienced in the last few years. Rabbit Holes was written surrounded by nature, by the open widow of a rundown Cornish farm house after a period of listening to a lot of The Tallest Man on Earth. The song follows the path of someone yearning to reach their love who has gone to a place that can't be followed. Although they both want to be together, the desperate efforts are seemingly in vein.

Crooked Weather's last ‘official’ release was in 2014. However, since then the band have been have been living a nomadic life on the road touring England, Ireland, Holland, France, New Zealand and America and earning a loyal fanbase. Their music has evolved as they have, influenced by the people and places they’ve met on their travels.

The extended single release includes 3 extra tracks:

'SKELETONS' (recorded as part of the Three Minute Heroes Project);

'GOLDEN OAKLAND' and 'RABBIT HOLES (demo)' (recorded live at an analogue studio recording from France, 2016 ).

Crooked Weather England, UK

Crooked Weather play earthy, unruly and original folk songs. Often travel and adventure, both without and within, have been a mainstay of the inspiring antics that Crooked Weather draw upon for their craft. The songs echo the ethos of folk songsmiths before them with imagery of escape, companionship and searching, but told from a new heart. ... more
